4/7/20 Update from the Business Manager

Dear 393 Members and Contractors,
During the coronavirus pandemic, we are providing our members with updated information to help them navigate this crisis. This is done via email blasts and communications posted here on our website (www.ualocal393.org). Please make sure you have all of the pertinent information we have provided by reading the communications posted on our website beginning March 16, 2020.
Below are our latest updates:
1. Union dues
The union is waiving the payment of non-working dues for April and May for all members. Future waiving of non-working dues will be done on a month-to-month basis during the coronavirus pandemic.
2. Available streams of unemployment income
Based on the most current information, this is a summary of the available revenue streams most members can access:
- $450 – Normal EDD unemployment
- $600 – Additional EDD unemployment during the coronavirus pandemic
- $200 – Local 393 supplemental unemployment
3. Open enrollment
The union is allowing open enrollment for elected 401K, ERA, and childcare contributions for April and May only. The forms are available on the UA Local 393 website and can be accessed here. The forms must be mailed via USPS to:

4. Out of work list (OOWL)
Members can review the OOWL on the UA Local 393 website. It will be updated each Friday until further notice. The link is www.ualocal393.org/out-of-work-list.
UA Local 393 members are the most skilled and trained workers in the industry, with a willingness to comply to safety standards to ensure that projects get done on time and safely during this COVID-19 pandemic. The staff is working diligently to respond to questions, share information, and get members back to work safely.
